Position Overview:
Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all of the following human resource functions: employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, HRIS training, and health and safety services programs. Management reviews work to measure meeting of errorobjectives.
Primary Responsibilites:
Advises company management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Receives assignments in the errorform of errorobjectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
Recommends changes to policies
Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors and exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain the cooperation of others, conducting presentation of technical inerrorformation concerning specific projects or schedules.
Provides direct supervision to exempt employees and/or skilled, non-exempt employees. Acts as an advisor to business units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
Specific Skills/Abilities
An experienced, well-rounded HR executive who has experience with all aspects of human resources within admired multinational corporations with strong knowledge of China market
Will have a strong HR generalist background with particular experience in management development, senior resourcing, organizational design, pererrorformance management and reward strategy
Has worked within organizations which have successfully undergone cultural and organizational change
Will be used to operating as part of a top management team and will have established an HR function that operates as a strategic business tool and has made a discernable impact on the successful development of the business
Demonstrated ability as a strategic partner to China management teams is essential. Runs the HR function as a true business support, using appropriate metrics to measure and drive pererrorformance
Able to build a cohesive culture (across different functions and business units) with high morale and motivated towards the achievement of a united vision
Have a thorough business understanding, be financially fluent and be able to take the initiative and make things happen
Have a high degree of business acumen and maturity to forge productive working relationships throughout the Company
Able to demonstrate to his/her team and the business heads that the HR function is adding value for the business
An outstanding communicator, able to argue a case persuasively and communicate thoughts succinctly
Reliable and discreet with ability to build trust
Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Mandrine, including the ability to resolve conflicts which may arise both internally and externally
Bachelors Degree
10 years above Human Resources experience
