Key features of the Role:
1.Scope includes Crop Protection and Seeds, main focus in China but will provide support to other projects in the region
2.Will lead small-medium size projects and play an active part in larger projects

Job Role Briefing:
1.Supporting or leading early project siting studies
2.Assist in the management of project scope definition and cost estimate delivery
3.Assist in the contractor selection process working with technical design teams, purchasing, finance and legal support forces.
4.Assist the delivery of a clear project execution strategy and make sure all project process and HSE related processes are implemented
5.Coordinate obtaining appropriate external approvals for project design and start-up
6.Deliver the agreed project cost, quality and progress targets
7.Working closely with commissioning & start up manager and related teams to make sure the successful manufacturing start up
8.Develop and train newly hired engineers
Qualifications/Competencies Requirement
1.Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a Chemical Industry related engineering discipline
2.Working knowledge of Chinese national chemical industry design regulations
3.Project management experience in a major investment project environment - chemical industry (agrochemical or fine chemical) preferred.
4.Minimum of 7 years experience which should include a minimum of three years experience in a multi-national company.
5.Experience of coordination with local authorities and regulatory bodies for investment project execution
6.Good project control experience (scheduling, progress tracking, cost control etc.)
7.Strong contract negotiation and management skills
8.Advanced organizational skills
9.Advanced communication and comprehension skills in both Chinese and English
10.Leadership-influencing, training and coaching others
