Major Responsibility:
Improve product reliability through analysis of field samples, statistical analysis and design changes . Support and Develop design standards for product reliability;
Provide Reliability Engineering support to design engineering teams in leading FMEA's and developing product specifications working with IPD teams;
Diagnose product issues with customers, suppliers and representatives, analyze root causes , and utilize methods for early indicators of warranty problems;
Serve as a consultant to broaden deployment of reliability tools and knowledge within the organization and collaborate with Cranes reliability engineers globally;
Review product reliability targets and test results to confirm reliability.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required and Master's degree preferred in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
3-5 years experience in product development , testing, within a continuous improvement and developed quality initiatives environment;
Familiar with engineering analysis methods and practice (FEA, fatigue analysis ...);
Trained in the Six Sigma methodology or equivalent statistical analysis techniques;
Knowledge of Reliability Engineering methods and practices . and experience with reliability software packages;
Knowledge of product development system;
Knowledge of lean systems and design for manufacturability;
Good analytical and problem solving skills utilizing data to support problem resolution;
